Tutoriel énergie
In Virtual Regatta, as in the real world, your skipper can be fit or tired.
Its energy gauge or stamina can vary from 0 to 100%. The duration of the penalty time is multiplied by a factor of 0.5 to 2. ( See ici for more details ).
ITYC.fr offers you this spreadsheet allowing you to calculate the energy loss and recovery rates depending on the conditions and the boat.
After selecting a boat, the data will be visible.

Presentation
How much energy will you lose performing a maneuver or sail change ?
How long will it take to get it back ?
This section is divided into 2 parts :
Energy loss curve

If you click on the name of a maneuver, you can show / hide a curve.
With the wheel of your mouse, you can zoom in on the curve.
By holding the left button of your mouse, you can move the curve after zooming.
Use the 'reset zoom' button to reset the display.
When the cursor is hovered over the curve, a toolbox like this one appear :

Energy loss calculator

It allows you to know the rate of lost energy as well as the time required for its recovery for a given wind speed.
This speed can be set using the slider, arrow key of the keyboard, or you can enter it directly (decimal separator ',' or '.').
Below you will get :
- The rate of energy lost for each type of maneuver in %.
- The time required to recover the lost energy.
Note that these data are identical to those provided for the curve.
Presentation
After how long do you recover an energy point (stamina) ?
How long will it take you to recover your energy to 100%? ?
This section is divided into 2 parts :
Courbe de récupération d'énergie

With the wheel of your mouse, you can zoom in on the curve.
By holding the left button of your mouse, you can move the curve after zooming.
Use the 'reset zoom' button to reset the display.
When the cursor is hovered over the curve, a toolbox like this one appear :

Energy recovery calculator

It allows you to know the time needed to recover all your energy at a given wind speed.
This speed can be set using the scrollbar, the arrows on your keyboard or you can enter it directly (decimal separator ',' or '.').
Below you will get the necessary duration in hours, minutes, seconds.
